Detection & Control of Flammable Substances

This 1 day course is designed for personnel working with or near flammable substances in the oil and gas industry. The course includes an introduction to flammable substances and the principles of flammable gas/vapour detection, care and preparation of combustible monitors, interpretation of combustible gas readings and control methods. A variety of instructional techniques are used, including lectures, demonstrations, discussion, group exercises and hands-on practice. Upon successful completion of prescribed practical skills and written examinations, students receive a certificate valid for 3 years. This is an Energy Safety Canada course.
